FAQs

What are the race timings

Due to high demand and the number of runners the 10K will start at 0900.
There will be a cut-off time of 2 hours for the 10km, ( our wonderful volunteers will have done their bit and would like to get home)!

What is the minimum age limit for each event?

Minimum age for the 10Km, Canicross & 5Km is 16 as advised by English Athletics.  Entrants must be accompanied by an adult either running or spectating.

Is there a bag drop facility?

Yes, runners can store their bags at the registration tent but do so at their own risk, so no valuables please!

What type of run is the course?

The courses are predominantly a trail run, mostly made up of either gravel and woodland paths. On some courses there might be a small amount of road running but we aim to keep this to a minimum.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, there will be the usual portaloos (as with all running events).

What refreshment facilities will be available?

There will be a charity tea/coffee tent raising money for our wonderful charity that we support (New Life). Some of our venues will also have additional facilities.

When will I get my race number?

Race numbers will be available on the morning of the event. You can collect your number from one of our fantastic volunteers from the registration tent.

Please allow yourself plenty of time for this as we expect there to be a large number of runners and spectators so it will be busy.

Is a refund available if I can’t make the run?

Unfortunately, there is no refund available on entries, but you can defer your place to the next event or pass your place over to a friend. This is due to us supporting a charity New Life (Special Care Babies).

In this event, please let us know in advance.

What time does the registration close, and can I sign up on the day?

The registration tent will close at 08.45am, so all runners can assemble ready for a 9am start.

The prices for on the day sign ups are displayed on the events page. Cash and cards accepted.

We advise signing up online before the event, but if you do leave it to the day, please make sure you arrive early to give yourself time to register.

Can I use headphones?

The use of headphones is not advised as we require all our runners to be able to hear our marshals in an emergency.

Can I volunteer or sponsor?

Absolutely!  We are always on the lookout for volunteers.  Without these amazing people there would be no event. Please refer to the volunteer page.

If you know of a company that may be interested in sponsoring this event, please do get in touch via the email: admin@runforestrun.uk .

How can I share information about the event?

We would love you to promote our event on as many social platforms as you can.

Is there a limit on the amount of dogs for Canicross?

For Canicross events the maximum amount of dogs per runner is 2 dogs.

Is there a time limit on 10Km?

For 10Km there is a 2 hour cut off time at our events.
